COMMENT: A frontside, full HALO event can be seen in LASCO C2/C3 in the Northeast quadrant starting @ 17:36 UT. COR2-A shows this CME in the Northeast quadrant beginning @ 17:38 UT. NOAA reports an X1.8 solar flare in AR 14274 [N23E62] that commences @ 17:15 UT, peaking @ 17:34 UT. Opening lines are visible in SDO/AIA 193/171 @ 17:18 UT where the X1.8 solar flare at its peak can be seen @ 17:36 along with EUV wave propagation, followed by emerging post-eruption arcades. Preliminary UCMEO velocity and position measurements are delivered first.
