C2 Start Time:  17:36 UT
 
C3 Start Time: 17:54 – 20:30 UT  
 
Type of CME:
Asymmetric HALO CME — FRONTSIDE
pa1:  34      pa2:  34       Total Width:  360 degrees
 
Velocity Measurements:
 
C2 5 points 874.6 km/sec @ PA 34
C3 6 points 810.2 km/sec @ PA 34 
Average through both fields:  949.8 km/sec  Acceleration: -49.82 m/sec^2.  
 
 
COMMENT: A frontside, full HALO event can be seen in LASCO C2/C3 in the Northeast
quadrant starting @ 17:36 UT. COR2-A shows this CME in the Northeast quadrant beginning
@ 17:38 UT. NOAA reports an X1.8 solar flare in AR 14274 [N23E62] that commences
@ 17:15 UT, peaking @ 17:34 UT. Opening lines are visible in SDO/AIA 193/171 @ 17:18 UT where the X1.8 solar flare at its peak can be seen @ 17:36 along with EUV wave propagation, followed by emerging post-eruption arcades. 
 
Preliminary UCMEO velocity and position measurements are delivered first.
