SOHO/LASCO  HALO CME October 22, 2025

C2 Start Time:  21:36 UT

C3 Start Time:  21:42 - 01:42 UT

Type of CME:
Partial HALO CME — BACKSIDE
pa1:  321    pa2:  321      Total Width:  360 degrees

Velocity Measurements:

C2:   4 points    1031.8 km/sec @ PA 321
C3:   6 points  893.6 km/sec @ PA 321
Average through both(C2/C3) fields:  981.4 km/sec  Acceleration: -77.53 m/sec^2

COMMENT:  C2/C3 shows a backside, partial HALO event in the Western hemisphere starting @ 21:36 UT accompanied by another slower CME found in the Southeast direction. SDO AIA 193 A shows opening lines near the Northwest limb of the sun, suggesting the source of the event occurred from the far side of the Sun.
