SOHO/LASCO observed a partial HALO CME on November 9, 2012. Event is first seen in
C2 beginning 15:12 UT with a slow multi-loops over the South. The event expands
with extensions PA 97 - 301 for a total width of 204 degrees wide. The event
continues into the C3 field beginning 15:54-23:42 UT out to the edge of field at
30 Rsun in the South.
Time/height measurements were marked at 6 points in C2 with speeds of
489.4 Km/sec at pa 158 degrees. The event is marked to 9 points in C3.
Speeds average through both fields to 537.5 Km/sec at PA 158 degrees.
Acceleration 1.84 m/sec^2.
SDO AIA 193 shows a flaring of a filament region located [S20,E10].
A dimming is seen in the SE quadrant in that area.
SDO AIA 304 shows activated filament material in the south near locations
[S40, E10] and [S65, E10] beginning 09:18 UT. There is eruption of these
filament regions by 13:00-17:00 UT and appear to be associated with the cme.
STEREO: BEACON data
COR2 A, 14:39 UT, an expanding multi-loop burst over the southeast.
Preliminary time/height measure gives 509.6 km/sec velocity at LE.
EUVI A 195, n/a
COR2 B, 14:54 UT, expanding burst over the West hemisphere.
Preliminary time/height measure gives 664.7 km/sec velocity at LE.
EUVI B 195, n/a
The observation of this event is considered 'GOOD'. This CME is determined FRONTSIDED.
