proposal
The scientific background of this proposal has been described
in the JOP51. The objective is to study the properties of
chromospheric/coronal jets and evolution of quiet Sun magnetic
fields. The study will contribute to understand the physics
of coronal heating.

We have proposed to compare BBSO high resolution
Halpha images and magnetograms;
EIT full-disk and high resolution images in all the four
channels, if available; SUMER and CDS data.

For the EIT data, we are interested in the data of past
and future joint BBSO/SOHO observations, a list will be updated
periodically.

Study of Chromospheric/Coronal Jets and Associated Magnetic Fields

update added on 1998/03/04 at 12:30:06
We have analyzed data of October 1996 and August 1997 observing runs.
One paper describing explosive events by Chae et al has been accepted
by Ap. J. Letter. The another paper compares Halpha and HeII
macrospicules have been submitted to Ap. J.

In the next few months, we will concentrate on the analyses of
non-potential fields and EIT bright points and Halpha jet spectra
and corresponding EIT activity.
