proposal
We have been developing stereo
visualization and analysis tools as part
of a NASA New Mission Concept Study of a
stereo mission. These tools allows us
to perform "triangulation" in 3
dimensions on features which can be
identified in both images of a stereo
pair. We propose to apply these tools to
the EIT data by using solar rotation to
provide the "stereo" views. We propose
to look both at plumes and loops in
"stereo" at a variety of stereo
"separations" (time separations) to gain
an understanding both of life time and
geometry. This work will be done in
collaboration with Ken Dere and Dennis
Socker, NRL.

We are presently working with F. Clette
on an improved (degridded) version of
our HDTV stereo video of the EIT
Christmas 96 data.
