The coronal and flare effects subgroup during the third
SOHO-Yohkoh workshop (CDAW 3) proposed to analyse the following
eruptive events to understand the relationship between eruptive
structures and the near-surface structures such as arcade
formation:

Nov. 28, 1996 CME
Aug. 29, 1997, 23:32 UT M1.4
Nov. 27, 1997, 13:17 UT X2.6
Nov. 6, 1997, 12:00 UT X9.4
Sep. 1-2 1997 AR jets
Jan. 25, 1998, 14:30 UT CME, SXT EIT Arcade

Except for the active region jets all the events consisted of
both large and small-scale structures.

In all cases we found interaction between
various scales from chromosphere to the outer corona - most
likely mediated by electron beams bombarding
the chromosphere or by shock waves or by cool or hot material
flowing through the outer corona. Thanks to the intercomparisons
of the different data sets, we have begun to get a more
comprehensive view of the multi-thermal temperature structure of
the corona in some of these eruptive features.

We shall use EIT and yohkoh SXT data to study the temperature
structure of the arcade formation and coronal dimming associated
with the eruptions. LASCO and MDI data will also be used for
a complete understanding of the magnetic connectivity in these
events.

We need all the available EIT data for these events. The data
analysis will be performed by a number of researchers,
coordinated by N. Gopalswamy. The e-mail addresses of the
