The main intention is to analyze coronal X-ray (Yohkoh/SXT) and
EUV (SOHO/EIT) structures by constructing synthesized images which
can be compared with observations. Images will be rendered from
complete 3D models of multiple flux-tubes. The active region
magnetic flux-tubes will be defined using magnetic field
extrapolations of Kitt Peak magnetogram data while various
physical models of coronal loops and coronal heating will be used
to determine the plasma content of the flux-tubes. Our initial
aim is to test out these models using an active region with a
relatively simple magnetic configuration. We have identified such
an active region which crossed the central meridian of the solar
disk on 26-Nov-96. We have all the SXT data we require and would
also like to use the EIT full-disk data for this particular day.
