EIT activity report for
2003/10/23 daily meeting

Planner: S. McIntosh

DateStartEndGOESAR* OtherPADescription
2003/10/2200:00+      AR10484 is now officially joined
by ARs 10485(6), the source of
recent waves and CMEs.
2003/10/2208:00  C8
2003/10/2201:0011:48 M510486EPL  Another massive flare/CME/wave
combination at the SE limb. This
time the wave disturbs a
filament in AR10484 causing a
dimming. Wave seems to pass
around AR10484 equally to N and S.
2003/10/2214:24  C?10484   Fast jet like flare.
2003/10/2215:12  M110484   Repeat of previous, brighter/larger.
2003/10/2216:00  M110484   Repeat again.
2003/10/2219:3623:49 M910486EPL  Disturbance in one of many AR
filaments. Very rapid flare/CME
covering SE quadrant, EIT wave
along E limb. [M9.9 in GOES]
2003/10/2302:48  M210484   Another fast jet flare.
2003/10/2305:2406:12  10484EPL  Eruptive filament at disk center.
2003/10/2307:13  M310484   Repeat of jet.
2003/10/2308:0010:24 X510486EPL  Massive flare on SE limb. Large
CME with filamentary material
and wave. Wave looks like it
disturbs AR10484, possible
oscillation in loop arcade S of it.
2003/10/2309:2410:24  10484EPL  CME and eruptive filament.
2003/10/2310:36  M210484   Repeat of jet.
2003/10/2311:48       Something is brewing on E limb.

See note on active region numbers.
