Annular Solar Eclipses of 2001 and 2002
Following the total solar eclipse of 2001, annular eclipses
will occur on 2001 December 14 and 2002 June 10. Both of these
events take place in the Western Hemisphere with the paths of
annularity confined primarily to the Pacific Ocean. By coincidence,
the eastern end of each path terminates in Central America
(Figure 16). No NASA
Eclipse Bulletins are planned for these events.
However, additional predictions, maps and tables will be made
available
on the Web.
