3.6.3 Thermal spectrum

 

If we assume that observed hard X-rays are emitted by single-temperature thermal Bremsstrahlung, then temperature (T (K)) and emission measure ( cm) of the thermal plasma is obtained by
IDL> t = hxt_thermal(index,data,0,bkgd,time=time)
The variables t(0,*) and t(1,*) provide T and EM (in units of cm), respectively, with the highest temporal resolution. The arguments `0' and bkgd have the same meaning as in section 3.6.2. Option /sf is also available for this program.
