3.9.4 DSK_LOCB [*]

DSK_LOCB (disk locator) will find the center coordinates and disk radius of an optical solar image. It currently works on white light, H, and magnetogram images, or anything with a clearly defined edge. The images are all treated using a histogram technique. (There is an old routine called DSK_LOC that uses a derivative technique for white light etc., as they have a high and noisy background). A sample call is:
IDL> dsk_locb, image, horzcnt=x0, vertcnt=y0, horzrad=rx, vertrad=ry
  where the keywords return the values of the radius and disk center.
