PALETTE is an IDL facility that allows you to create a
new color table. To run it just type:
IDL> palette
To save the color table use TVLCT by typing
IDL> tvlct,r,g,b,/get
This will save the red, green, and blue vectors in r, g, and b. To
re-load this color table, type:
IDL> tvlct,r,g,b
