In addition, there are many web pages set up to display our data and results to the public. The main SOHO web page is
http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/. The SOHO gallery, containing some of the best images and data from each SOHO instrument,

With the cooperation of SOHO Goddard Space Flight Center is proposing an "Education Mall" on the Web. This site would be
a resourcedesignedto provide information for teachersbased on their curriculumneedsand nationaleducationalstandards.
SOHO would be closely involved in the Sun-Earth Connection part of this effort.Furthermore, NASA headquarters isconsid-
ering the establishment of a number of "forums'' to serve as clearing houses for information concerning different NASA related
topics. Goddard hasproposed thatthe Sun-Earth Connection clearing house be atGoddard, with the participation of SOHO.
Popular press and mass mediaSOHO-supported scientists have written articles appearing in popular-levelscience magazines
includingScientific AmericanandSky &Telescope, and have supplied information for many journalists writing aboutthe Sun
and heliosphere. The levelof interestin solar-terrestrialscienceand spaceweather in particular isevidenced by the enormous
response to the halo CME/magnetic halo eventof 1997 January 6 - 11 and the flare/halo CME/magnetic stormeventof 1997
April 7 - 11. Most of the media requests for information were handled by an extremely effective team of young scientists from
SOHO and GGS.
We have also interacted with the public at large by answering questions sent by e-mail and participating in live electronic chat
sessionson the Internetorganized by Rice University and Prodigy. SOHO scientistshave been guestson nationally broadcast
TV and radio programs.
