Points Of Interest

2008/07/07 (Monday)

03:30 UT S East	Blob-like front starts to be discernible.

04:30 UT NN East	Diffuse jet-like front.

08:30 UT S East	Slow development of a diffuse expanding loop front. A loop
front follows at ~ 16:06 UT. By that time, the southern leg
of the former expanding loop is already past the S Pole.
The event is first seen in C3 at 16:18 UT, on the SE. By
22:18 UT, the legs intersect the inner edge of the C3 occulting
disk at PAs 95 and 215 (~ 120 deg), the loop front exhibiting
an assymetrical shape. At PA 125, the plane-of-sky speed of the
LE is abut 430 km/sec, the HT profile showing practically no
acceleration (based on C3 data). No significant X-ray activity
reported by GOES (below the A-level) during the day.

09:54 UT NN East	Diffuse jet-like front.
