LASCO Activity Report for
March 24, 2008 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

2008/03/21 (Friday)

06:06 UT ES East	Faint and diffuse front that quickly disintegrates. Couple
of blob-like fronts start to be seen by that time on ENE.

08:30 UT NN East	Diffuse and very faint jet-like front.

12:54 UT WS West	Elongated and diffuse loop front toward W.

13:31 UT W Limb	Slow development of a system of very faint loop fronts
(not clearly defined). Couple of small concave structures
in the trailing material early on the 23rd.

2008/03/22 (Saturday)

12:06 UT E Limb	Ragged front that disintegrates throughout C2.

14:30 UT E Limb	Another (brighter) ragged front followed by a ragged loop
front at 15:54 UT (apparently twisted trailing material).
By 20:58 UT, a narrower twisted structure seems to develop
gradualy along the southern leg of the event. WIDTH of the
event (considered as a whole) in C3 at 21:42 UT: ~ 40 deg.

22:30 UT S Pole	Narrow spray-like front.

2008/03/23 (Sunday)

04:30 UT N East	Faint elongated ragged front (difficult to give an exact
time of first appearance) followed at 06:54 UT on NNE by
a slightly brighter elongated front that shifts toward
the N Pole as it develops. A system of very faint
expanding loop fronts follow at ~ 12:30 UT on the N Pole.

17:30 UT E Limb	Diffuse brightening that fades throughout C2.

2008/03/24 (Monday)

00:30 UT ES East	Narrow and elongated loop front.
