LASCO Activity Report for
February 14, 2008 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest

KEYHOLE Operations:
------------------
Mon 02/04 - Sun 03/02: 26 m keyhole
Mon 02/11 - Sun 02/24: 34 m keyhole

- EIT CCD Bakeout scheduled for 02/22 ~ 21:00 UT thru 02/28 ~ 22:00 UT.

- S/C Maneuvers (SK and MM) scheduled for 02/19.

- LASCO will safe for S/C Maneuvers on 02/18 ~ 11:00 UT and recover on
  02/21 ~ 01:00 UT (still TBD).

- S/C Roll scheduled for 02/22 15:50 - 21:50 UT. LASCO will close doors
for the Roll due too offpointing protection being disabled during the
maneuver (estimated time of closed doors: 02/22 16:00 - 19:30 UT).
  EIT will observe the Roll.

- During telemetry outage periods for this Keyhole LASCO and EIT will
not be recorded (and instruments will remain idle).

2008/02/13 (Wednesday)

	00:00 - 14:30 UT	LASCO Data Gap (C2 time).

14:30 UT N East	Wide ragged complex front already under development
after data gap, apparently consisting of a ragged
loop front developing toward ENE (slightly ahead)
and another (expanding) one toward NE. The, at
least, two-component structure of the event can be
better appreciated in C3. WIDTH of the complex
event as seen in C3 at 22:18 UT: 105 deg. The
northernmost component crosses the N Pole by the
very end of the day. X-ray activity below the A
			level all along the day.

2008/02/14 (Thursday)

	03:06 - 06:30 UT	LASCO Data Gap (C2 time).
