January 22, 2008 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest

LASCO will be supporting the Equatorial Coronal Holes Campaign
(Jan 10 - Jan 13, and Jan 17 - Jan 22). The observing sequence
consists of high cadence (5 minutes) C2 orange Filter images at
100 sec exposure for 6 hours periods (14:55 - 20:55 UT) between a
pair of Pb sets. FOV: half-field (512x1024) over the West. No C3
images during that time.

2008/01/18 (Friday)

	14:55 - 20:55 UT	C2 Equatorial Holes Campaign
				(see Points of Interest above)

2008/01/19 (Saturday)

N West	Slow development of a diffuse faint front starting
around the very end of the previous day. It develops
as an elongated loop front (apparently twisted
			trailing material).

06:54 UT S West	Elongated ragged loop front.

	14:55 - 20:55 UT	C2 Equatorial Holes Campaign
				(see Points of Interest above)

2008/01/20 (Sunday)

00:54 UT NN East	Diffuse spray-like front, top of a very narrow loop
			front. It fades throughout C2.

06:06 UT SS East	Extremely faint expanding front.

	14:55 - 20:55 UT	C2 Equatorial Holes Campaign
				(see Points of Interest above)

21:30 UT S Pole	Jet-like front already under development. An
extremely faint expanding front seems to develop
			by the time.

2008/01/21 (Monday)

10:30 UT S West	Elongated spray-like front.

11:30 UT E Limb	Faint fan-like front.
