LASCO Activity Report for
November 27, 2006 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

KEYHOLE (#15) Operations:
-------------------------

* 2006/11/24 - 2006/12/11: 26 m keyhole
* 2006/11/27 - 2006/12/08: 34 m keyhole

* 2006/11/25 - 2006/12/12: EIT Bakeout

* The TLM Keyhole #15 will have short daily passes and therefore limited
  LASCO recorded data. Outside the periods of contact LASCO will go idle via
  the on-board program.

* LASCO will observe in improved mode during TLM Keyhole #15 (C2 12 min
  cadence, C3 30 min cadence with daily orange/blue pairs and pB if possible.)

2006/11/24 (Friday)

02:06 UT S West	Fan-like front. By 04:06 UT, a very faint leg of
			an apparently big expanding loop front starts to be
 			discernible on N West, reaching the N Pole by
			~ 05:06 UT (barely discernible in C3).

06:30 UT N West	Ragged front that fades throughout C2.

08:30 UT W Limb	Diffuse ragged loop-like front. It fades close to the
			inner edge of C3.

08:30 Ut ES East	Diffuse front that quickly fades.

11:30 UT W Limb	Diffuse ragged front developing slightly toward WNW.

12:30 UT W Limb	Ragged loop front. It fades throughout C3.

19:31 UT S West	Small front that quickly fades.

23:06 UT S West	Small front with fainter extensions toward N. It
			fades.

2006/11/25 (Saturday)

00:30 UT EN East	Bright ragged front. It fades close to the inner edge
			of C3.

00:30 UT N West	Faint and diffuse asymmetric ragged front. Difficult
			to give an exact time of first appearance.

03:54 UT W Limb	Slow development of a system of faint ragged loop
 			fronts. Difficult to give an exact time of first
 			appearance. Pseudo-continuous outflow superposeed in
			the LOS.

12:06 UT S Pole	Faint and wide loop-like front. It fades throughout
			C3.

21:31 UT S West	Bright and very elongated loop-like front. It fades
			throughout C3.

2006/11/26 (Sunday)

134:24 UT S West	Diffuse ragged front that quickly fades. Another one
			follows at 15:48 UT.

20:36 UT EN East	Elongated loop front along streamer.

2006/11/27 (Monday)

04:00 UT S West	Faint and diffuse loop-like front. Faint extensions
			toward N.
