LASCO Activity Report for
November 24, 2006 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

KEYHOLE (#15) Operations:
-------------------------

* 2006/11/24 - 2006/12/11: 26 m keyhole
* 2006/11/27 - 2006/12/08: 34 m keyhole

* 2006/11/25 - 2006/12/12: EIT Bakeout

* The TLM Keyhole #15 will have short daily passes and therefore limited
  LASCO recorded data. Outside the periods of contact LASCO will go idle via
  the on-board program.

* LASCO will observe in improved mode during TLM Keyhole #15 (C2 12 min
  cadence, C3 30 min cadence with daily orange/blue pairs and pB if possible.)

2006/11/22 (Wednesday)

	  E Limb	Gusty outflow in the form of small ragged blob-like
			fronts (in particular at 00:30, 04:54, and 07:31 UT).
 			They can be seen since previous day, after the CME
 			reported to start at 05:30 UT.

03:30 UT S West	Ragged elongated loop front. Diffuse extensions toward
			N. It fades throughout C3.

08:30 UT S West	Bright and elongated ragged loop front. It fades
			throughout C3.

11:06 UT S West	Bright ragged loop front. Gusty outflow all across
			the W limb.

17:54 UT S West	Initially bright ragged front that fades close to
			the inner edge of C3.

19:54 UT S West	Diffuse loop-like front a little bit to S of previous
			event. It fades throughout C3.

23:06 UT S West	Initially bright ragged front. It fades very close
			to the inner edge of c3.

23:54 UT W Limb	Faint loop-like front developing slower than previous
			event. It fades throughout C3.

2006/11/23 (Thursday)

04:06 UT W Limb	Diffuse loop-like front. It fades throughout C3.

09:54 UT S West	Diffuse ragged front that fades throughout C2.

13:31 UT S West	Bright loop front. Trailing material.

17:54 UT S West	Small and elongated loop front in the trailing
			material of previous event. Diffuse loop-like
			extensions on W.

18:54 UT  N Pole	Diffuse jet-like front.

2006/11/24 (Friday)

02:06 UT S West	Fan-like front. By 04:06 UT, a very faint leg of
			an apparently big expanding loop front starts to be
 			discernible on N West, reaching the N Pole by
			~ 05:06 UT (barely discernible in C3).

06:30 UT N West	Ragged front that fades throughout C2.

08:30 UT W Limb	Diffuse ragged loop-like front. It fades close to the
			inner edge of C3.

08:30 Ut ES East	Diffuse front that quickly fades.

Last C2 image available by the time of writing: 11:06 UT.
