June 8, 2006 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest

June 8 - June 19, 2006:

LASCO will support the Ulysses-SOHO Quadrature Observations with 6 hr
cadence, C2 orange/clear filter pB sets taken at these times: 
02:54, 08:54, 14:54, and 20:54 UT. 

The extra pB sequences will then continue through June 21, i.e., 14 days 
total (half rotation run).

Note: EIT will be recovered and observing, scheduled for June 16 ~ 00:00 UT. 
The C2 additional pB images will reduce the EIT imaging by 6 per day.
 

Telemetry (TLM) Keyhole: 05/27/2006 - 06/14/2006

- EIT will be in CCD bakeout during the following period:

  . 05/26/2006 21:15 - 05:15 ==> Long pre-bake cal set.  
    EIT will have heaters on at ~ 02:00 UT.

  . 06/15/2006 08:00 UT heaters off, Bakeout ends.

  . 06/15/2006 16:00 - 00:40 UT post bake long cal set. 
    Observations expected to resume by 22:00 UT.

- LASCO will be in improved keyhole synoptics: 12 minute C2, 
  30 minute C3 cadences.

- SOHO maneuvers (roll to -180 degrees, Station Keeping, and 
  Momentum Management) performed on June 6, 2006.  

- LASCO safing (doors closed during that time) for maneuvers was as follows:
  . Monday 06/05: LASCO safed at ~ 15:00 UT.
  . Wednesday 06/07: LASCO recovery at ~ 16:15 UT.

2006/06/07 (Wednesday)

	LASCO will open doors at ~ 16:15 UT (after S/C Maneuvers on 06/06).

First LASCO C2 image after recovery:  16:32 UT

First LASCO C3 image after recovery:  16:14 UT

16:32 UT  S West	Gusty outflow already present, fading early on next
			day.
