LASCO Activity Report for
June 5, 2006 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest

Telemetry (TLM) Keyhole: 05/27/2006 - 06/14/2006
-----------------------

- EIT will be in CCD bakeout during the following period:

  . 05/26/2006 21:15 - 05:15 ==> Long pre-bake cal set.
EIT will have heaters on at ~ 02:00 UT.

. 06/15/2006 08:00 UT heaters off, Bakeout ends.

  . 06/15/2006 16:00 - 00:40 UT post bake long cal set.
Observations expected to resume by 22:00 UT.

- LASCO will be in improved keyhole synoptics: 12 minute C2,
  30 minute C3 cadences.

- The SOHO maneuvers (roll to -180 degrees, Station Keeping, and
Momentum Management) are scheduled for June 6, 2006.

- LASCO safing (doors closed during that time) will be as follows:
  . Monday 06/05: LASCO safes at ~ 15:00 UT.
  . Wednesday 06/07: LASCO recovery at ~ 16:15 UT.

2006/06/02 (Friday)

WS West	Slow development of a system of loops since early in
the day. Difficult to give an exact time of first
appearance. Twisted core material can be seen after
			the data gap.

	07:36 - 13:12 UT	LASCO Data Gap (C2 time).

	21:12 - 24:00 UT	LASCO Data Gap (C2 time).

2006/06/03 (Saturday)

00:36 UT ES East	Faint and diffuse preceding the slow development of
a system of faint loop fronts. Pseudo-continuous
outflow superposes in the LOS with the system of loops.

13:12 UT S West	Faint blob-like front (top of an extremely faint loop-
like feature) starts to be discernible. The feature
			fades throughout C3.

16:24 UT WS West	Very ragged front that fades throughout C3 (rather
close to its inner edge). A ragged and diffuse
(smaller) front follows at 18:36 UT.

2006/06/04 (Sunday)

04:12 UT W Limb	Couple of small and faint blob-like fronts, one in WNW
and the other one in WSW.

10:00 UT E Limb	Very faint and diffuse loop front that quickly fades.

2006/06/05 (Monday)

	01:24 - 05:48 UT	LASCO Data Gap (C2 time).

Last C2 image available by the time of writing: 07:36 UT.

LASCO will close doors at ~ 15:00 UT ahead of maneuvers on 2006/06/06.
