LASCO Activity Report for
February 6, 2006 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

Mercury exited the C3 FOV on 2005/02/06.

Mercury can still be seen in the C3 FOV, in the southern hemisphere, moving
from right to left.

2006/02/03 (Friday)

08:54 UT E Limb	Diffuse brightening precedes the development of a
bright loop front (first clearly seen at 09:30 UT)
with structured (twisted?) interior (gradual event).
It develops toward ENE. EIT 195 images show the
			eruption of a prominence between 00:00 - 09:36 UT,
which was seen rising since ~ 15:24 UT on previous day.

10:30 UT S West	Slow development of a system of faint expanding loop
fronts. The southern leg shifts toward SE as it
develops (it crosses the S Pole by around 20:22 UT).

12:54 UT E Limb	Relatively bright front partly superposed in the LOS
with event reported to start at 08:54 UT.

2006/02/04 (Saturday)

03:54 UT E Limb	Bright blob-like front followed at 09:30 UT by another
(very ragged and fainter) one. They both fade throughout
			C3.

2006/02/05 (Sunday)

00:06 UT ES East	Slow development of a system of faint and wide expanding
loop fronts. Difficult to give an exact time of first
			appearance.

	22:30 - 24:00 UT	Data Gap.

2006/02/06 (Monday)

	00:00 - 05:30 UT	Data Gap.

No significant activity...

Last C2 image available by the time of writing: 12:54 UT.
