LASCO Activity Report for
November 14, 2005 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

2005/11/10 (Thursday)

00:06 UT EN East	Extremely faint loop-like front strats to develop
well above the C2 occulting disk. Difficult to give
an exact time of first appearance.

08:30 UT E Limb	Elongated front.

11:54 UT N West	Jet-like front.

18:06 UT SS West	Slow development of a system of faint loops. Difficult
to give an exact time of first appearance.

20:58 UT N Pole	Jet-like front that quickly fades. Another one on NNE.

21:30 UT E Limb	Faint and elongated loop-like front.

2005/11/11 (Friday)

07:31 UT E Limb	Faint and elongated front.

2005/11/12 (Saturday)

00:30 UT SS West	Faint and very diffuse loop front. It fades
			throughout C2.

00:54 UT WN West	Blob-like front (barely visible in C3). Another one
(much smaller) at 06:54 UT. The latter only visible
in C2 (and just close to the limb).

01:31 UT EN East	Faint loop-like front that fades throughout C2.

10:56 UT NN East	Jet-like front.

16:30 UT S East	Diffuse and elongated fan-like front. It fades
			throughout C3.

17:54 UT SS West	Very narrow loop-like front that fades throughout C3.

20:30 UT S West	Blob starts to be discernible as a result of an
apparently reconection-type event. Difficult to give
an exact time of first appearance. Well seen in C2 at
			the beginning of next day.

2005/11/13 (Sunday)

NOTE:
-----
GOES recorded multiple B- and C-class events on NOAA AR 10822 (~S09E77) during
the day, including an M2.5 X-ray flare (S07E77) peaking at 14:51 UT. No clear
signatures of associated events on C2 except for a pseudo-continuous outflow
all above the E limb.

05:54 UT S East	Bright and diffuse ragged loop front.

22:30 UT E Limb	Faint (expanding) loop front. It fades throughout C3.

2005/11/14 (Monday)

NOTE:
-----
C-class activity on NOAA AR 10822 continues. Couple of M-class X-ray flares
(peaks at 04:21 UT and 14:21 UT). Pseudo-continuous outflow on E continues.

04:54 UT ES East	Diffuse front that fades close to the inner edge of
C3. GOES recorded an impulsive M2.6 x-ray flare on
			NOAA AR 10822 (S06E63) between 04:16 - 04:27 UT with
			peak emission at 04:21 UT.

08:30 UT S Pole	Very faint and diffuse expanding loop front. First
seen in C3 at 11:18 UT.

Last C2 image available by the time of writing: 14:30 UT.
