LASCO Activity Report for
March 28, 2005 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

- Venus entered the C2 FOV from the right on 2005/03/24
  (by around 16:00 UT).

- The S/C roll back to 0 degrees was on March 22 (Tuesday).

- During the keyhole LASCO will image at an improved cadence of C2 @ 12
minutes and C3 @30 minute cadences. This includes daily orange filter pB
sequence and flat field orange/blue images. Using the keyhole recording
scheme most all LASCO data will be recovered.

- EIT CCD Bakeout: 2005/03/11 (Friday) - 2005/03/31 (Thursday).

- On 2005/03/11 @ 15:00 UT (Friday) SOHO changed to Submode 5.

- 34 m Telemetry Keyhole began on 2005/03/10 (until 03/24).
- 26 m Telemetry Keyhole began on 2005/03/02 (until 04/01).

- Venus entered the C3 FOV from the right on 2005/02/26
(by the end of the day). Still visible.

2005/03/25 (Friday)

	01:12 - 05:12 UT	Temporary Data Gap.

16:24 UT E Limb	Diffuse jet-like front that quickly fades.

	Otherwise, mostly quiet.

2005/03/26 (Saturday)

01:36 UT N East	Very faint loop front precedes the slow development
of a faint system of expanding loops.

02:24 UT NN West	Faint and asymmetric expanding loop front starts to
be seen at around 3.7 solar radii. Some infalling
			material later on NW.

16:36 UT ES East	Small front along streamer.

2005/03/27 (Sunday)

06:36 UT N East	In the trail of event reported to start at 01:36 UT
on previous day, a faint and elongated loop front
			becomes discernible developing apparently more
			rapidly.

16:24 UT NN East	Jet-like front followed at 17:36 UT by another jet.
Small ragged front to N followed by an elongated
and expanding loop front at ~19:48 UT.

2005/03/28 (Monday)

03:36 UT N Pole	Small ragged front.

06:36 - 12:36 UT	Temporary DSN Data Gap.
