LASCO Activity Report for
March 3, 2005 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Stenborg

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

- 26 m Telemetry Keyhole began on 2005/03/02.

- Venus entered the C3 FOV from the right on 2005/02/26
(by the end of the day).

2005/03/02 (Wednesday)

00:06 UT S East	Ragged front that fades throughout C3.

00:30 UT S West	Ragged front in the gusty outflow. The gusty outflow
is present all along the day.

01:31 UT W Limb	Narrow loop-like feature, followed by a similar one
(though smaller) by 03:30 UT. Another one at 05:30 UT.

~Noon UT N West	The slow development of a system of loops reported on
previous day starts to "blow-out" by around midday.

12:54 UT NN East	Extremely faint elongated loop-like structure that
			quickly fades.

17:30 UT N East	Very faint and diffuse jet-like front that quickly
			fades.

17:54 UT N West	Jet-like front.

23:06 UT NN West	Diffuse and ragged loop front. Excess intensity above
the NNW Limb already present by 22:30 UT. It fades
			throughout C3.

2005/03/03 (Thursday)

02:30 UT S West	Very faint and diffuse front partly superposed in the
LOS with a streamer. Couple of hour later starts to
be discerned the slow development of a system of
loops along the streamer (difficult to give an exact
time of first appearance for this system of loops; by
06:54 UT the system is clear).

10:06 UT NN East	Ragged and diffuse lop front developing toward E.

Last C2 image analyzed taken at 12:54 UT.
