September 9, 2002 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

None today.

2002/09/06

13:31 UT PARTIAL	Wide bright loop front with cavity and much
HALO trailing material, faint extensions to E limb
to resemble full halo CME. Backsided event.

21:30 UT W Limb	Narrow ragged front fades through C2

21:55 UT N West	Narrow ragged front brightest to S along
			streamer, some gusty outflow

23:55 UT S West	Bright narrow fan-like front

2002/09/07

00:30 UT E Limb	Very faint loop front

03:54 UT N East	Wide bright asymmetric front with cavity
			and core, fast event

13:31 UT N West	Initially bright loop front along streamer

14:30 UT N West	Small faint loop along streamer, to N
			of previous event

16:30 UT S West	Sequence of loop fronts along streamer,
complex core follows then much continued
			outflow

18:06 UT S East	Initially bright asymmetric loop front
			fades and disintegrates through C2,
			slight cavity follows

2002/09/08

02:06 UT S East	Moderately bright narrow loop front
disintegrates in C2. Cavity and some
			outflow follow

08:54 UT S West	Fairly faint ragged front brightens
			somewhat in C2, along streamer

15:06 UT S East	Moderately wide bright asymmetric front
			with much gusty outflow

21:30 UT S West	Narrow fan-like front, quite faint

2002/09/09

00:54 UT N Pole	Very faint ragged front
