LASCO Activity Report for
May 15, 2002 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.

Points Of Interest

None today

2002/05/14

01:27 UT S East	Fairly narrow ragged front with cavity, fades

07:50 UT S West	Bright ragged loop front with cavity and core.
Streamer to N disrupted, front follows along it

14:27 UT S West	Narrow ragged loop front along streamer, faint

14:50 UT E Limb	Bright rough asymmetric loop front with cavity
and some trailing material, quite fast

17:50 UT S West	Narrow front along streamer

19:50 UT E Limb	Faint narrow loop front slightly to N of equator

21:17 UT E Limb	Another bright asymmetric front with cavity,
slower and smaller than 14:50 event

22:06 UT N East	Very faint loop front

23:06 UT S West	Narrow asymmetric loop front, fades through C2

23:50 UT S East	Narrow ragged front

2002/05/15

01:50 UT E Limb	Another bright asymmetric front, smaller than
			previous events

02:26 UT S East	Ragged loop front along streamer, quite
			bright, widens through C2

04:26 UT E Limb	Another bright asymmetric front, second largest
			of all similar events

05:06 UT N East	Very faint ragged loop front

05:26 UT S West	Initially very narrow loop front widens through C2.
			Another at 09:50

08:50 UT E Limb	Another bright asymmetric front

09:50 UT N West	Wide bright loop front with cavity, core and
			trailing material, follows extremely slowly-rising
system of loops and fronts from ~18 hrs previously

12:54 UT E Limb	Another bright asymmetric front
