LASCO Activity Report for
February 25, 2002 SOHO Science Daily Meeting

Planner: K. Schenk, G. Lawrence

Event times are first frame seen in C2 camera unless otherwise noted.
These are preliminary observations for the daily SOHO science discussions.
Final analysis is reported on the Lasco CME list.
An archive of these reports is available.

Points Of Interest

None today.

2002/02/22

02:06 UT S West	Faint narrow ragged front

04:54 UT N West	Faint front followed by brighter slower loops.
Wider and to N of 21:30 event

09:30 UT N West	Wide bright front along streamer. Cavity and
			some core-like material follow

09:30 UT S West	Multiple loop front with cavity and some
			trailing material. Distinct from previous
			event, also somewhat slower

20:30 - 23:45 UT	No regular images while calibration
				set is taken

2002/02/23

09:06 UT N West	Initially bright loop front resolves to
faint front and bright slow loops

09:54 UT N East	Faint spray, quite wide

13:54 UT S West	Fairly bright narrow loop front along
			streamer. Some trailing material

17:30 UT S West	Wider brighter faster front from same/nearby
source region. Cavity and core follow, and
			some gusty outflow

2002/02/24

00:30 UT S West	Slow narrow loop system somewhat to N of
previous two events. Loops brighten and widen
through C2 during ~12 hr passage

08:06 UT N East	Fast narrow spray

13:31 UT N East	Narrow bright front along streamer,
			to N of previous event

15:30 UT W Limb	Ragged structured loop front fades and
			disintegrates through C2. Cavity and
			core-like material follow, also possible
very faint extension up to N Pole

17:30 UT N East	Narrow bright front with cavity and core.
Same nearby/region as 08:06 event, follows
very narrow, slower event at 15:54

18:30 UT N West	Extremely faint loop front spans NW quadrant.
			Another at 20:30

2002/02/25

00:30 UT S West	Initially very narrow bright slow blob widens
and resolves to slow narrow loop system which
moves through C2 in >12 hrs. Similar to 00:30
			event from previous day

10:30 UT W Limb	Asymmetric loop front, brightest to S and
with some fainter core-like material there

11:30 UT N West	Ragged front with cavity, fairly wide and fast
