Subject: SOHO/LASCO Partial HALO CME 140120a BACKSIDED UCMEO 93001 40121 1830/ 40120 61524 82142 3432/ 216// 113// 30732 40120 61436 81526 ///// ///// 1112/ 99999 PLAIN SOHO/LASCO observed an Partial HALO CME [A] on January 20, 2014. Event is first seen in C2 beginning 15:24 UT with loops over the East. The event expands with extensions PA 343-216 degrees for total coverage of 233 degrees in width. The event continues into the C3 field beginning 15:54-21:42 UT dissipating at 24Rsun in the East. Time/height measurements were marked at 5 points in C2 with speeds of 801.9 Km/sec at PA 64 degrees. The event is marked to 11 points in C3. Speeds average through both fields to 732.4 Km/sec at PA 64 degrees. Acceleration -25.96 m/sec^2. STEREO: BEACON data COR2 B, 15:55-20:25 UT partial halo over the Northwest. Preliminary time/height measure gives 654.6 km/sec velocity at LE. EUVI B 195, 14:36-15:26 UT flare of an active region on disk in the SE quadrant at location [S15, E176]. The event produces a dimming and wave followed by a post arcade. COR2 A, 12:24-19:39 UT data gap. n/a EUVI A 195, 12:25-19:25 UT data gap. n/a The observation of this event is considered 'GOOD'. This CME is determined BACKSIDED.
