Velocity Measurements:

C2:   8 points     484.7 km/sec @ PA 203.56
C3:   10 points   533.7 km/sec @ PA 203.63
Average through both(C2/C3) fields:  519.0 km/sec  Acceleration: 10.39 m/sec^2

COMMENT:  LASCO C2/C3 show a slightly asymmetric halo CME. In LASCO C2 imagery the CME emerges from the S slightly in the W direction. The CME has a bright leading edge in the S and propages outwards in all directions.The CME closely overlaps a previous CME that began at 20:12 UT. The source is an eruption centered on S16W03(AR 3500) associated with a M3.4 flare beginning at 19:07 UT and a M9.8 flare starting at 19:35 UT.  The flares are accompanied by a EUV wave, and dimming  best seen in SDO AIA 193. In SDO AIA 171 ,193 post eruptive arcades can be seen.

STEREO Beacon Data COR2 A, due to gaps in data the beginning of the CME is not available in COR2 imagery at this time. Preliminary time/height measurements could not be performed.
