Subject: SOHO/LASCO HALO CME 140107 UCMEO 93001 40107 2240/ 40107 61824 82123 2341/ 233// 333// 42095 40107 61800 81912 31212 11943 1112/ 99999 PLAIN SOHO/LASCO observed an asymmetric HALO CME on January 07, 2014. Event is first seen in C2 at 18:24 UT as a bright loop over the Southwest. The event expands with extensions to a full halo by 19:36 UT. The event continues into the C3 field beginning 18:30 to 21:23 UT leaving the C3 field of view at 30Rsun. Time/height measurements were marked to 2 points in C2 with speeds of 2353.8 Km/sec at position angle 234 degrees. The event is marked to 8 points in C3. Speeds average through both fields to 2094.5 Km/sec at PA 234 degrees. Acceleration -40.13 m/sec^2. SDO/AIA 193 shows a flare of AR 11943 at location [S12, W12] beginning 18:00-19:12 UT. The flare produces a dimming and a wave propagating from the region. AIA 304 shows brightening/flaring of area East of and adjacent to AR 11943 along transient lines of AR 11944. STEREO: BEACON Data COR2 A, 18:24-19:39 UT expanding partial halo CME over the East. Preliminary time/height measure gives 2396.2 km/sec velocity at LE. EUVI A, n/a COR2 B, 15:55-20:55 UT data gap. n/a. EUVI B, n/a. NOAA reports a X1.2 Xray flare 18:04/18:34/18:58 UT from AR 11943 at location [S15, W11]. Increased proton flux in +100 MeV with particles +50 MeV above Solar Storm levels. The observation of this event is considered 'GOOD'. This CME is determined a FRONTSIDED event.
