This image shows a difference of two 5.338-sec AlMg exposures from Yohkoh SXT. The arrows show the main dimming regions, which reduced the coronal surface brightness by about a factor of two. The images used here have not yet been corrected for solar rotation, so there are white/black artifacts visible for compact features.
