We plan to use EIT full-disk observations of the very quiet
corona in 1996 in 171A and 195A to determine the limb
brightening. We will model these data to test the general
assumption that the solar corona is optically thin. These
data will be compared to TRACE observations. The work will
be done together with Rebecca McMullen, currently at MSU
Bozeman.
